Improvisational abstract art

never twice the same

Many artists have a recognizable signature style. I don’t (yet) - and perhaps, never will. My approach is often similar to making dinner with what’s in the ‘fridge - I simply use the paints, materials, and mark-makers that are on my work table (or within arm’s reach) and see what I can do with them- rarely knowing where I’ll wind up.

I work intuitively - I love the problem-solving and intrigue that happens each time you put something on the surface. What’s next? Where do I go with this? My “process” is to keep applying color, material, and marks until I like what I see.

Never twice the same.
